(Saginaw, Michigan) Following up on a previous report, 30-year-old Laura L. Findlay, band teacher for Ricker Middle School, has been charged with 20 counts of first-degree criminal sexual conduct with a person under the age of 16. Findlay was arraigned yesterday before Saginaw County District Judge Darnell Jackson who set bond at $500,000.

According to Prosecutor Michael D. Thomas, investigators have identified five victims, including a 14-year-old eighth-grader who told his father that Findlay took him to the band room and performed oral sex. A preliminary hearing has been scheduled for April 11 before District Judge M. Randall Jurrens. If found guilty of the charges, Findlay could be sentenced to life in prison.
