Matsui Wins Special Election

(Sacramento, California) Democrat Doris Matsui, wife of the late Congressman Robert Matsui, blew away the competition in a special election for California's Fifth Congressional District. With backing from House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi of San Francisco, the widow Matsui garnered over 70% of votes cast.
