Educator Accused of Buying Sex From Students

(Pearland, Texas) A 32-year-old after-school program instructor for Pearland High School, Delesondro Deshon Sims Jr., has been arrested after being accused of paying for sex with male students. Sims has been charged with "two felony counts of improper relationship between an educator and student."
The alleged inappropriate activities occurred between Sims and two students, ages 17 and 18, on the high school campus between November and February, said Pearland Police Officer Rick Fernandez. Police learned of the alleged improper relationships Wednesday morning after another student notified authorities.

Fernandez said he had not been provided with information that the educator was paying to have sex with the students. But a Brazoria County court document states the 18-year-old student said Sims told him he could earn points for sex acts performed with him.

The two had sex with each other on four separate occasions, the document states.

The 18-year-old student alleged Sims would credit his account, which was used to pay for items needed in the extracurricular program, for anal and oral sex.
Sometimes the male students were just given money for sex, $50 for each oral sex act. In effect, Sims, as an authority figure at the school, has turned the students into homosexual prostitutes. This is outrageous.

Sims is currently in the Brazoria County Detention Center on $100,000 bond. If convicted of the charges against him, he could be sentenced to 20 years in prison on each count.
