Polite Sisters Plead Guilty to Robbery Spree
(Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania) Due to being courteous while committing robberies, Carrie Ann Huchel, 33, and Heather Huchel, 31, are called the "polite bandits." Nonetheless, they were apprehended and charged with a string of holdups at service stations and convenience stores from March 31 to April 9, 2004. They have pleaded guilty to the charges and are scheduled to be sentenced on August 3. The sisters testified that they committed the robberies to support their drug habits.
The Huchels were regionally known as "polite bandits" because they said "please" and "thank you" while brandishing a firearm during the robberies. It's nice to see a sense of decorum and common decency displayed in society. Too bad it came from a couple of crooks.
