Woman Feeds Raw Meat to Baby

(Brownsville, Texas) Nineteen-year-old Veronica Martinez pleaded guilty in Cameron County Court to charges of injury to a child and attempted injury to a child. Martinez and her boyfriend, Brian Martin, 20, fed raw meat to their six-month-old baby in an attempt to cause a fatal E. coli infection. According to court records, Martinez wanted the baby dead because the child "ruined her life."

This is an outrage. Martinez and her boyfriend should be charged with attempted murder, not attempted injury. You watch, they'll probably get sentenced to hand slaps and no lessons will be learned. The baby is currently in the custody of Child Protective Services, although, it wouldn't surprise me if they gave the baby back to Martinez. If so, she would have another chance to kill the child.
