Al-Qaeda Fundraising in India

(Calcutta, India) Two Bangladeshis have been taken into custody by Calcutta police for distributing handbills and raising funds in support of a group called Mujahideen al-Qaeda Pacific International. Authorities are surprised and alarmed by the presence of al-Qaeda sympathizers in minority neighborhoods of the city.

Police Commissioner Prasun Mukherjee stated that an investigation has been launched to determine who is involved with the handbill and fundraising effort.
