Driving With Dead Cat Fuel
(Berlin, Germany) An enterprising German inventor has created an organic fuel alternative to diesel from garbage and road-killed cats and dogs. Christian Koch has patented a machine dubbed KDV500 which produces a liquid he calls "bio-diesel" at one-fifth the current cost of gasoline.
About 20 dead cats thrown in the KDV500 produces enough fuel to fill an 11-gallon gas tank. There's no word on whether engines get friskier with dead cat gas.
Wolfgang Apel of the German Society for the Protection of Animals said the practice of using dead cats and dogs is outlawed in Germany, however, his organization is going to watch Koch closely.
