Lesbian Teacher and 15-Year-Old Student

(Lecanto, Florida) A 36-year-old business education teacher at Lecanto High School, Amy Gail Lilley, was arrested Tuesday at school and charged with one count of lewd or lascivious battery for engaging in a sexual relationship with a 15-year-old female student. Lilley is a divorced mother of two.

During an interview with investigators, Lilley acknowledged the relationship with the girl. After posting $5,000 bail on Wednesday, she was released from jail. If convicted of lewd or lascivious battery, Lilley faces a possible 15 years in prison.

Note: Lilley is the second lesbian teacher-student sex case reported from central Florida in the past week. The first was Jaymee Wallace.

At a School Board meeting on Tuesday (11/08), it was announced that Lilley submitted her resignation from her teaching position at Lecanto High School.

Lilley's next court appearance is scheduled for November 21.
