Woman Charged with Rape of Boy

(New Paltz, New York) A 27-year-old woman, Alissa Beattie, was arrested by New Paltz Police and charged with second-degree rape for allegedly having sex with a 13-year-old boy. Police began an investigation when they were alerted that Beattie and the boy were having inappropriate physical contact.

Beattie was arraigned in New Paltz Town Court. She's been released on her own recognizance pending a future court appearance.
