(Upshur County, West Virginia) An explosion occurred about 8AM EST this morning more than a mile-deep in a West Virginia coal mine. Thirteen miners are trapped.
The mine is known as the Sago Mine owned by Anker West Virginia Mining Co. It's about 100 miles from Charleston. Six miners escaped unharmed.
