No Jail for Sex with 10-Year-Old Boy

(Toms River, New Jersey) A 21-year-old woman, Christine Sprague, pleaded guilty to child endangerment resulting from incidents of sexual conduct with a 10-year-old boy between July 1 and August 21 in 2003. According to the plea agreement, the prosecutor's office will recommend dismissal of a charge of aggravated sexual assault and for Sprague to receive no jail time.

Before formal sentencing is scheduled, Sprague must undergo an evaluation to determine if she is a repetitive and compulsive sexual offender. All in all, it appears that she will only face probation for a yet to be determined period of time and, possibly, registration as a sex offender.

In summary, we have a 21-year-old woman molesting a 10-year-old boy and she gets to walk away without punishment. Hand slap? I believe so.
