Woman Pleads Guilty to Sex with 13-Year-Old Boy

(Canton, Ohio) Last November, 38-year-old Julie Ann Welborn was arrested for engaging in sex with a 13-year-old boy she met over the Internet. Since that time, Welborn has been held in Stark County Jail in lieu of $500,000 bond.

On Monday, Welborn pleaded guilty before Stark County Common Pleas Judge Charles Brown to felony charges of having unlawful sex with a minor and importuning. Judge Brown scheduled a sentencing date of February 17.

Welborn faces up to six years in prison and possible designation as a sexual predator. I think it would be appropriate to sentence her to the maximum.
