Teacher Fired for Hard Stuff in Desk

(Port St. Lucie, Florida) Apparently, this is a case of teaching under the influence.

From Miami.com:
A Port St. Lucie teacher is suspected of being under the influence of alcohol and keeping it in her desk at school, according to a police report.

The report says Deborah Dargis, 43, was immediately fired from Village Green Elementary School, but St. Lucie County School District officials said the case is still under investigation and that Dargis has not yet been officially terminated.

The police report said the school site foreman found two open Propel fitness water bottles in Dargis' desk which had a liquid that "resembled Mike's Hard Lemonade" and had an acidic, lemon smell.
Breathalyzer test results were positive.

It seems unlikely that Dargis will be able to present any reasonable explanation for having two bottles of hooch in her desk. Of course, Dargis teaches elementary school and may be unsuited for the job of coping with screaming little cookie-munchers.
