Border Patrol Agent Accused of Aiding Smugglers

(Falfurrias, Texas) A South Texas Border Patrol agent, David Duque, has been charged with using his position to assist smugglers in transporting drugs and people into the U.S. It's alleged that Duque knowingly helped smugglers haul nearly five kilos of cocaine through the Falfurrias checkpoint in return for $5,000.

If convicted, Duque faces 15 years in prison and a $250,000 fine. He is currently free on $50,000 bond.
