School Interpreter Accused of Molesting Boys
(Athens, Georgia) An interpreter for deaf and hearing-impaired students, Natasha McCrary, 33, faces trial this week for allegedly engaging in sex with three 15-year-old Clarke Central High School boys.
In September 2004, she was indicted on charges of aggravated child molestation, enticing a child for indecent purposes and statutory rape. Since that time, McCrary's case has endured delays and legal wrangling.
In her defense, McCrary has asserted and has lodged complaints that her accuser fabricated the story of sexual molestation and, subsequently, the boy's parents allegedly attempted to blackmail McCrary.
[Update 09/02/06]
Jury acquits McCrary of all charges.
