(Hartford, Connecticut) Here's an interesting report. A teacher was convicted of sexually assaulting two of his students and, subsequently, appealed his conviction on grounds that the law banning sex between teachers and students is unconstitutional.

The lawyer for Van Mckenzie Adams told the high court yesterday that teachers have a right to have sexual relations with students who are 16 or older. Attorney Richard Emanuel, says the state law under which the teacher was convicted is unconstitutional and "overly broad."The Connecticut Supreme Court is currently deliberating the issue.
