Ohio Deer Season Open, Shoot the Razorbacks

From today through December 3, Ohio deer-gun hunting season is open. Additionally, the weekend of Dec. 16 - 17 will be open for hunters looking to bag some holiday venison. Hunting hours begin 30 minutes before sunrise and run to sunset.

About 400,000 sharp, and not so sharp, shooters are expected to participate this year. A total harvest of approximately 120,000 deer is anticipated. Obviously, most hunters will go home with only memories.

Notably, the Ohio Department of Natural Resources is encouraging hunters to blast the hell out of the wild boar, also called wild pigs or razorbacks.

From IrontonTribune.com:
The ODNR says the animals are a huge nuisance and can wreck havoc on the areas where they call home. The boars are virtual eating machines, according to the ODNR, and can damage crops and consume the eggs of nearly every type of ground-nesting birds, reptiles or amphibians. They can also carry deadly diseases that can infect livestock, wildlife and even humans.

Wild boars feed most heavily at dawn and dusk, spending their days hiding in dense vegetation or squirming in mud holes.

Razorbacks, unlike vegamagimite, are said to be "tasty, too!"

One last note, expect the elite media to enlarge every firearms mishap out of proportion. I firmly believe that the Democrat takeover of Congress will embolden the anti-gun activists to protest too much and the liberal media will be their compliant co-conspirators.
