Female Teacher, Female Student

(Somerset County, New Jersey) A 39-year-old high school physical education teacher and coach, Pamela Balogh, was arrested for allegedly engaging in sex with a 15-year-old female student.

From The Express Times:
Pamela Balogh, 39, of Bethlehem, taught and coached the female student, who was 15 years old when the alleged sexual assaults started in December 2004, according to the Somerset County Prosecutor's Office. The alleged assaults continued through September 2005 and mainly occurred in Balogh's office at Immaculata High School in Somerville, the prosecutor's office said.

Balogh has been charged with first-degree aggravated sexual assault, second-degree sexual assault, third-degree aggravated criminal sexual contact, fourth-degree criminal sexual contact and third-degree endangering the welfare of a child.
Balogh sports a stellar history in athletics. She was named basketball player of the year in high school and has been inducted into the halls of fame at North Hunterdon High School and at Temple University.

Balogh was booked into the Somerset County Jail with bail set at $100,000.

Pamela Balogh offered deal of 10 years in prison in return for guilty plea. Going to trial could net her 20 years in prison. Her lawyer, James Wronko of Somerville, still needs to discuss the deal with Balogh.
