(Livermore, California) A 24-year-old 8th-grade teacher at Our Saviors Lutheran School, Rebecca Rogers, was arrested last week for allegedly engaging in inappropriate conversations of a sexual nature with one of her male students. Livermore Police were alerted after the parents of the boy found instant messages of a sexual nature. According to Lt. Scott Trudeau, police are in the process of examining Rogers's computer and, so far, among an extensive number of messages sent to the boy, several were inappropriate and sexual.
Rogers was booked into the Santa Rita Jail and later released on bail. A tentative appearance in Alameda County Superior Court has been scheduled for Monday.
