Scout Leader Guilty of 926 Counts of Child Sex Abuse

(Oil City, Pennsylvania) A 41-year-old former Cub Scout leader, Thomas Fox, pleaded guilty yesterday to 926 counts of child sexual abuse. Fox admitted to fondling and taking pornographic photos of boys in his troop.

Fox is scheduled to be sentenced in July and, according to the plea agreement, he should receive at least 9 years in prison. Doing the math, that's less than a year for every 100 counts of child sex abuse.

Fox will also likely be ordered to register as a sexual predator. Note that Fox may receive harsher punishment. It's up to Judge H. William White to decide.
