LA Juvenile Hall Employee Accused of Sex with Minor

(Los Angeles, California) A 34-year-old Central Juvenile Hall custodian, Kimberly Hald (see below), was arrested last Friday for allegedly sexually abusing a 17-year-old boy in custody. According to LAPD Officer Marjan Mobasser, Hald is being investigated for oral copulation of a minor.

Thus far, Hald has not been charged, however, she is being held on $200,000 bail. A court appearance is scheduled for later today.

Hald has been suspended without pay.

The spelling of of the juvenile hall custodian is Hald not Holt. The LAPD got it wrong according to a followup report. Also:

In a brief telephone interview with The Associated Press, Kimberly Hald, 34, denied performing oral sex on the teenage boy at Central Juvenile Hall, as authorities have alleged. She also claimed prosecutors had determined Tuesday to drop their investigation.

"I'm going back to work," the San Pedro resident said Wednesday morning, about 12 hours after being released from a lockup.

Not true, said David Davies, chief deputy for the Los Angeles County Probation Department. Davies said Hald has remained suspended without pay since her Friday arrest.

Hald was released after posting $200,000 bail Tuesday night. Her case is still being investigated.
