(Portland, Tennessee) A 20-year-old daycare worker at the Living Free Children's Center, Marianne Harper, was arrested last week for allegedly abusing three children under the age of two. Bruises on a 21-month-old prompted a parent to contact the Tennessee Department of Human Services which led to an investigation and arrest. Investigators also believe Harper is a drug-user who used around children.
Harper was booked on child abuse and drug charges and is in custody at the Sumner County Jail. She has a court date scheduled for this week.
