Homeless Benefits Boost - Santa Clara County, CA

The Valley Transportation Authority in Santa Clara County has more than doubled the number of reduced-fare bus passes for the homeless.

On Tuesday, the Santa Clara County Board of Supervisors approved the issuance of 1,850 monthly reduced-fare bus passes. Previously, only 713 were offered.

Consequently, more of those who are homeless, and presumably have some place to go, can do it with reduced-fares in Santa Clara County.
