(Pickens County, South Carolina) A 28-year-old woman from Fond Du Lac, WI, Sara M. Schneider, was arrested for soliciting a 15-year-old South Carolina boy over the Internet for sex.
According to the news release, beginning in summer this year, Ms. Schneider solicited sex on the Internet and over the telephone from a person she knew to be a 15-year-old boy. Ms. Schneider arranged to meet the boy for sex.Schneider has been charged with criminal solicitation of a minor and attempted criminal sexual conduct with a minor.
The boy's family became aware of the situation and asked the Pickens County Sheriff’s Office for help. The Pickens office is a member of the South Carolina Attorney General Office's Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force.
Ms. Schneider was arrested when she arrived at the boy's home in Liberty, according to the news release.
