PA Gym Teacher Gets Prison for Sex with Boy

(Moon Township, Pennsylvania) Beth Ann Chester, now 27, pleaded guilty and was sentenced today. Chester confessed to having repeated sex with the boy, one time in the school parking lot.

For the convictions on charges of statutory sexual assault, corruption of a minor and criminal use of a cell phone, Chester received a term of 1 and 1/2 to 3 years in prison.

The victim's family was initially agreeable to punishment without prison but Chester stupidly contacted the boy while out on bond and thereby violated the bond conditions while angering the family.

Interestingly, the question of why Chester resigned her teaching position before she was accused of anything has been explained.

The boy's parents found some text messages Chester sent the boy in December and confronted her. They agreed not to press charges if she resigned.

After Chester resigned, another teacher told the school's principal about the her relationship with the teen. School officials referred the matter to police.

Despite the fact that Chester had problems in her marriage, she is solely responsible for her criminal acts. And if she hadn't continued to act irresponsibly, she might have walked away from the whole episode without any prison.

Teacher Jailed for Nude Photos and Lewd Messages Sent to Boy

(Moon Township, Pennsylvania) A 26-year-old physical education teacher at Moon High School, Beth Ann Chester, has been arrested for allegedly sending lewd messages and nude photos of herself to a 14-year-old male student. In one message, Chester called the boy "sexy."

Investigators seized the boy's cell phone which allegedly contained the lewd messages and nude photos. Also, Chester's school computer is being examined. The boy told investigators that he did not have sexual contact with Chester. She was merely infatuated with him.

Chester has been charged with sexual abuse of a child, unlawful contact with a minor, endangering the welfare, corruption of a minor, criminal solicitation and criminal use of a communication system.

Chester was booked into custody with bond set at $50,000. She resigned from her teaching position.
