
Coman was initially held on suspicion of criminal sodomy and aggravated burglary and booked into custody at the Sedgwick County Jail.
Notably, Coman has a prior conviction from last September for the same crime in Reno County. He pleaded no contest and was fined $353.
The rottweiler was not injured, however, the Kansas Humane Society director of communications, Jennifer Campbell, stated, "That is committing a violent act toward that animal."
On Thursday, Coman was formally charged with misdemeanor criminal sodomy. District Judge Eric Yost entered a not guilty plea on Coman's behalf and set bond at $10,000.
