[2/1/08 post bumped] (Milwaukee, Wisconsin) In December 2006, a 78-year-old nun and former principal at St. Patrick's Congregation grade school, Norma Giannini, was charged with two felony counts of indecent behavior with a child. Giannini allegedly engaged in sex with two schoolboys 40 years ago.
In September 2007, Giannini surrendered to police. She was booked and released on $10,000 bond.
In November 2007, Norma Giannini pleaded no contest to two felony counts of indecent behavior with a child resulting from sexual episodes with two male students at St. Patrick's school in the 1960s.
Today, Sister Norma Giannini, now 79, was sentenced to one year in jail. She must report to the House of Correction within 60 days.

A judge Friday rejected an 80-year-old nun's request for early release from the jail term she's serving for having sex with two young boys while they were students at her school more than 40 years ago.Apparently, Giannini suffers from health problems but she refused to be treated at the House of Correction medical facility.
