DC Madam Dead from Apparent Suicide

(Tarpon Springs, Florida) Deborah Jeane Palfrey, 52, the so-called DC Madam, is believed dead by suicide. A body was found in a storage shed adjacent to her mother's Florida home. Official identification and cause of death are pending. No foul play is suspected.

There was a note. Contents have not been disclosed.

Palfrey faced a possible 50 years in prison when sentenced later this year for April 15 convictions on charges of money laundering, racketeering and mail fraud.
