(Windsor, Ontario) Across the river from the Motor City is a Catholic High School where a teacher has been accused of having young teen girls provide him with two-minute knobbers in the teachers' lounge between classes.
The teacher, Mark Baggio, 34, has been charged with two counts of sexual assault, two counts of sexual exploitation and two counts of corrupting a child.
The sexual abuse started in 2002 with 14-year-old girls in Baggio's religion class and continued for three years.
The girls were students of Baggio's, to whom he taught classes in religion and in leadership. He also was a guidance counsellor and coached volleyball and basketball.Okay, would someone like to weigh in and tell me how Baggio could pull this scheme off? Surely, other teachers and students must have been suspicious.
Under questioning by assistant Crown attorney Craig Sigurdson, the former student testified Baggio "used" her for oral sex regularly, pulling her out of class for two-minute encounters in the teachers' lounge. Other encounters occurred during school trips and sports tournaments, the court was told.
