Female Counselor Gets Probation for Sex Abuse of Girl

(Bloomington, Illinois) In December 2007, A 27-year-old residential counselor for Chestnut Health Systems, Sara F. Thompson, was arrested for allegedly fondling a teenage female patient. She was charged with two counts of aggravated criminal sexual abuse.

In February 2008, Thompson pleaded guilty to one count of aggravated criminal sexual abuse in return for dismissal of the second count per a plea agreement.

This week, Sara Thompson was sentenced by McLean County Circuit Judge Charles Reynard to 30 months probation and ordered to complete sex offender treatment.

So, Thompson gets probation for a sex crime. No surprise here.
