Ohio Nurse Sues Perez Hilton

(Cleveland, Ohio) A nurse at a senior living center, Diane Wargo, has filed a lawsuit in Cuyahoga County Common Pleas Court against celebrity blogger Perez Hilton (real name Mario Lavandeira) for publishing an email she sent to him, including her full name and email address. The email reportedly contained gay slurs.

As a result of the posting of the email, Wargo received threats and was fired from her job.

Damages sought haven't been reported, however, Lavandeira's attorney, Bryan Freedman, said the lawsuit has no merit since there is no expectation of privacy when an email is transmitted to perezhilton.com.

Personally, without encryption I think it's naive to think that anything on the Internet is private, much less something sent to a gossipmonger.
