(Dover, New Hampshire) Thirty-four-year-old Francine Barron pleaded guilty yesterday in Strafford County Superior Court to multiple child sex crimes and was sentenced to prison.
For the sex assaults, she received 8-20 years in state prison. Four years can come off her minimum sentence if she completes the sex offender program at the prison.Barron will also have to register as a sex offender for the rest of her life.
She was also sentenced to 5-10 years in state prison, all suspended for a period of 10 years consecutive to the eight-to-20-year sentence. Another suspended state prison sentence, for two-to-five years, runs concurrent to the other suspended sentence.
Barron is also to complete drug and alcohol counseling, as well as any other counseling deemed fit. She is to pay restitution to the victim's family for counseling. She may have no contact with the victim or his family, and cannot have any unsupervised contact with anyone under 16 years old, except for her own children or grandchildren.

(Dover, New Hampshire) A 34-year-old local woman, Francine Barron, surrendered to police yesterday in response to an arrest warrant issued on July 16.
Barron is accused of raping a 12-year-old boy last March 31st and faces a charge of aggravated felonious sexual assault.
According to Lt. Paul Toussaint, police were alerted to the alleged sexual assault on June 25, prompting an investigation.
Barron was booked into custody at the Strafford County Jail with bond set at $50,000. A Dover District Court appearance is scheduled for today.

Barron was free on personal recognizance bail which has now been revoked due to failed drug tests. Prosecution on six counts of aggravated felonious sexual assault and two counts of endangering the welfare of a child for engaging in sex acts with the boy remains in her future.
