Death By Trash Compactor

(Lansing, Michigan) A 26-year-old woman, Tyree Monique Tate, was caught shoplifting on Monday at the T.J. Maxx store in the Lansing Mall. Before she could be apprehended, Tate sprayed security guards with mace and fled across a highway. She ultimately hid inside a trash compactor behind the Goodwill store.

Unfortunately, only minutes later an employee came outside and cycled the trash compactor with Tate inside. According to Eaton County Undersheriff Fred McPhail, it's not known if anyone heard Tate scream as she was crushed.

Medical Examiner Dr. Dean Sienko said death was caused by "multiple crush injuries."
