California Teacher Accused of Sex with Boy

(Corona, California) A 45-year-old fifth-grade teacher at Corona Ranch Elementary School, Wendie Estrada Fernandez, was arrested this week by Corona Police officers for allegedly engaging in sex with a 17-year-old male student in the Corona-Norco Unified School District.

The married, mother-of-four faces charges of having unlawful sexual intercourse and oral sex with a minor.

Fernandez was placed on administrative leave by the school system. She was booked into custody and later released on $25,000 bail.
