School for Deaf Teacher Pinched for Sex with Boy

(Bristol, Connecticut) A 27-year-old former teacher at the American School for The Deaf, Julie Denno, was arrested today for the alleged sexual assault of a male student under the age of 16.

Denno faces charges of second-degree sexual assault and risk of injury to a minor.

A Ballston Lake, NY, resident, Denno is accused of sexual assault of the boy at her former home in Bristol, CT, between December '07 and January '08. Police started investigating after receiving a complaint in February 2008. Denno was terminated from school employment after the initial allegations were made.

Denno was booked into custody with bond set at $75,000.

Reportedly, both Denno and the boy are deaf.
