(Tampa, Florida) A 23-year-old local woman, Natalie Rodriques, has been sentenced to 15 years in prison after pleading guilty to DUI manslaughter.
Authorities say Rodriques was driving with a blood alcohol level of 0.13 percent in March 2007 when she hit 16-year-old Irvin Eppy Soto Jr. Rodriques drove nearly a mile before crashing her pickup into a ditch. Records show she also had traces of cocaine, marijuana and Xanax in her system.After her release from prison, Rodriques will serve 10 years probation. She was also prohibited from ever driving in Florida again.
Records show Rodriques had already been arrested for driving under the influence two months earlier.
