'Holocaust Denier' Arrested

(London, England) A 64-year-old Australian high school teacher, Gerald Toben, was arrested today for denying that the Holocaust occurred.

Mr Toben is wanted by the German authorities who have issued a warrant for his arrest for acts committed in Germany, Australia and other countries. Holocaust denial is illegal in Germany.

He was held at Heathrow under the arrest warrant by the Metropolitan Police’s extradition unit after arriving on a flight from the United States at 11.30 this morning.

A court appearance is scheduled to rule on extradition to Germany.
