Man Sentenced for Killing Bald Eagle
(Jackson, Mississippi) A Tunica County man, Joshua Lee Garrison, was sentenced yesterday to six months house arrest for shooting and killing a bald eagle. He apparently did it to cut off the eagle's talons.
Garrison also received two years on probation, loss of his hunting and fishing license for two years, and $2,500 in fines.
So Garrison will have to stay at home for six months, but without the wide-screen television he could have bought with the $2,500.
