Violence in Mexico

From Excelsior (Mexico City):
A total of 12 men, two of them city police and another a city official, were assassinated in a 12-hour period in the cities of Tijuana and Rosarito Beach, Baja California, reported the state’s Attorney General.

The other homicides included three bodies dissolved in acid, one decapitation, one asphyxiation and the rest riddled by gunfire.

This brings the total of such gang-style murders in the area to 140 in three weeks, or more than six per day.
Note that this is only an example of the wanton violence in Mexico. I could flood this blog with nothing but reports of killings and reports of finding bodies. It's arguably a nation of lawlessness with murder an everyday fact of life.
