(Akron, Ohio) According to this report, the prices of recycled goods has dropped precipitously in the last few months and it's all being blamed on the economic meltdown. To illustrate, recycled newspaper dropped from $175 to $60 a ton and tin went from $510 a ton to a mere $50.
Hold on to your wallets, folks. A bailout of the recycling industry may be coming.
