Teacher Allegedly High on Drugs at School

(Clay County, Kentucky) A 30-year-old substitute teacher at Manchester Elementary School, Melissa Morris, was arrested late last month for allegedly being high on drugs while teaching.
Manchester Police Chief Jeff Culver says one of his officers and school officials confronted Morris in the principal’s office that morning about her demeanor.

“She was conscience, just impaired, slurred speech, poor balance, but she was not passed out,” Chief Culver said.
Morris was booked into custody and later released on bond. A court appearance is scheduled for November 17.
