Cash-For-Sex House Raided

(Detroit, Michigan) A 39-year-old Detroit woman and three men [names withheld] were arrested early this morning for allegedly operating a brothel where 19 prostitutes were offering sex for money.

The Detroit woman's 16-year-old daughter and another underage girl were caught dancing partially nude but it's not known whether they were offering sex for money.

Four arrests were made and several other people were ticketed and released around 4 this morning at the woman’s home on Cherrylawn near Curtis, on Detroit’s west side, according to a statement from the Wayne County Sheriff’s Office.

Investigators had been tipped off to the party in advance, and had an undercover officer inside to verify it before members of the Southeastern Michigan Crimes Against Children Task Force and Violent Crimes Task Force moved in.

“It is bad enough to think that a 16-year-old girl would fall into this type of exploitation, but to find out that her mother allegedly was encouraging it is just sickening,” [Sheriff's spokesman] Evans said in a statement.

Drugs, weapons and cash were confiscated. Ten vehicles were impounded.
