Maryland Teacher Found Dead

(Harford County, Maryland) A 34-year-old history teacher at North Harford High School, Brian Norman, was found dead of a gunshot wound last night. Friends went to check on him at his home about 8:30 PM when he was found.

Notably, Mr. Norman was arrested last month for allegedly slapping a 16-year-old female student on the buttocks for which he was charged with a fourth-degree sexual offense, second-degree assault and threatening school employees with bodily harm. Norman was freed on $25,000 bond after his arrest.

Police are investigating the death. Indications are that Norman was depressed and he had possible psychiatric problems.
