Rent-A-Cops Hired to Protect Police Station

(Rosengård, Sweden) When local police officers are on patrol or responding to crime scenes, the police station is left essentially unguarded from vandalism attacks by stone-throwing youths.

As a result of the vulnerabilities, the police department has hired a private security firm to watch over the station.
Michael Storm at Malmö police pointed out to TV4 that the move in no way meant that the police were unable to look after themselves.

The security firm will instead render it unnecessary for police officers to keep watch outside their own police station and free up resources for other duties. The firm will help the police to monitor those moving in and around the area.
Frankly, I'd suggest that the normally easy-going Swedes are not punishing the stone-throwing youths harshly enough.
