Teacher Christina Oliver Gets Jail in Sex Case - Updated

(Stockton, California) Twenty-six-year-old teacher Christina Oliver has been sentenced by Judge Franklin M. Stephenson to 150 days in the county jail. She will also serve five years of probation but will not be required to register as a sex offender.

(Lodi, California) Twenty-five-year-old McNair High School teacher Christina Eve Oliver pleaded guilty before San Joaquin County Superior Court Judge Franklin Stephenson last Friday to two counts each of unlawful sex with a minor and oral copulation.
The Stockton resident was arrested in February 2009 after a 16-year-old boy's parents learned of the relationship and went to police. The boy had been a student in one of Oliver's sophomore English classes.

Prosecutors said at the time that the crimes occurred between Jan. 30, 2009, and the date of Oliver's Feb. 10, 2009, arrest.
A court appearance is scheduled for July 12. Oliver's actual sentencing date hasn't yet been established. Reportedly, she faces a possible 16 months in prison and registration as a sex offender.

California Teacher Arrested for Sex with Boy, 16

(Stockton, California) A 24-year-old teacher at McNair High School, Christina Oliver, was arrested by Stockton Police for allegedly engaging in sex with a 16-year-old boy.

Oliver reportedly faces charges involving child molestation or annoyance, lewd or lascivious behavior with a minor, and contact with a minor for the purpose of committing an offense with the minor.

Reportedly, a parent of the victim alerted police of the alleged sexual relationship.

Oliver was booked into custody at the San Joaquin County Jail. No bail amount was reported. Police are continuing to investigate.
