NJ Mom Guilty of Sex with Boy

(Somerset County, New Jersey) Today a 50-year-old Bridgewater woman, Maria Page, tearfully appeared before Superior Court Judge Robert Reed and pleaded guilty to engaging in sex with a 15-year-old boy, an acquaintance of Page's daughter.

In exchange for her guilty plea to two counts of fourth-degree criminal sexual contact and third-degree endangering the welfare of a child, prosecutors agreed to a three-year suspended sentence with Page completing an in-patient drug rehab program of six months minimum duration.

When admitting to the crimes, Page said that she was under the influence of Xanax and Percocet during sexual episodes on November 19th and 24th. Defense attorney Raymond Brown chimed in that Page was sexually abused as a child and treated for psychiatric problems after her arrest.

Reportedly, Page will have to register as a sex offender under Megan's Law and be subjected to parole supervision for life.
