(Marion, North Carolina) A 23-year-old local woman, Heather Renee Causby, was arrested last month on outstanding warrants for assault with a deadly weapon and attempted robbery plus other charges. At the time of her arrest, Causby was hiding from law enforcers in the home of a female acquaintance and her 13-year-old son.
While in jail, Causby bragged of a relationship with the 13-year-old boy which was investigated by McDowell County Sheriff's deputies and resulted in charges of statutory sexual offense being filed against her.
Consequently, Causby was arrested on the new charges and booked into the Rutherford County Detention Center on $200,000 bond.
