Accused Teacher Found Dead - Updated

(Greenwood County, South Carolina) Facing seven counts of criminal sexual conduct with a minor, 37-year-old Angela "Angel" Simmons Lindle was found dead at 12:20 PM Saturday from an apparent self-inflicted gunshot wound.

Greenwood County Coroner Jim Coursey said he was ruling the death a suicide.

After her arrest last month, from which she was released on $75,000 bond, Lindle posted to her Facebook page the following:
"Angel is good-bye to everyone. Angel is very sad. Everything is over for her and I really mean everything all because of a lie. If anyone that had any sense heard it they would know it was not true."
Nevertheless, Lindle reportedly admitted to the sexual relationship to investigators. Authorities say that Lindle and the boy would meet and have sex at motels, her home and in parked vehicles at locations in two South Carolina counties. Additionally, the boy told investigators that Lindle had threatened suicide if he broke off the relationship. (h/t gregg)
