(Rogersville, Tennessee) On February 3rd, a 39-year-old science teacher at Hawkins Elementary School, Veleka Sharon Setsor, was charged with aggravated assault for allegedly threatening to kill her 18-year-old daughter, Eden Cheyenne Setsor.
"According to the daughter her mother then left her bedroom and retrieved what appeared to be a rifle and threatened to kill her with it," the deputy’s report states.Setsor was booked and released.
Veleka Setsor confirmed that she "did get what she thought was a pellet rifle" and returned to the room, the deputy wrote. "The mother denied making the threat, however Central Dispatch confirmed, on (a) recorded line, the mother stating ‘I will kill you.’"
Yesterday, it was reported that Setsor is back in the classroom teaching, raising concerns regarding Setsor's suitability to teach. Although she is innocent until proven guilty, it's thought that a person showing a propensity for violence with a weapon should, as a precaution, be reassigned away from the classroom.
