Teacher Pleads No Contest in Girl Sex Case - Updated

(San Jose, California) Former teacher at King's Academy in Sunnyvale, Abigail Anne Holloway, 33, pleaded no contest today in Santa Clara County Superior Court to four counts of sexual contact with a female student.
[Holloway] developed a relationship with a 13-year-old student in 2001, according to the Sunnyvale Department of Public Safety. The charges filed with the district attorney's office outline inappropriate sexual relations Holloway had with the girl between 2002, when the she was 14, and 2005.

Detectives in Sunnyvale began investigating Holloway in December 2008. She was arrested March 1 in Arapahoe County, Colo., where she was teaching at a Catholic School in Englewood, according to the Sunnyvale Department of Public Safety.
Sentencing is scheduled for September 1 when Holloway faces a possible five years in prison.

(Sunnyvale, California) A 33-year-old teacher St. Mary's Academy in Englewood, Colo., Abigail Anne Holloway, was arrested last Sunday for allegedly engaging in a years-long sexual relationship with a student, starting when the student was 13 years old.
Holloway is expected to be transported to Santa Clara County where she is accused of developing a sexual relationship with a 13-year-old student at the King's Academy, a Christian preparatory school, in the spring of 2001 and pursuing it for several years, according to the public safety department.

Investigators reported becoming aware of the alleged abuse in December and are still trying to determine if there may have been other children victimized by Holloway, either at King's Academy or other Santa Clara County schools where she worked as a teacher from 2003 to 2005.
Holloway will face child sex abuse charges.
